Federico Biadene

Former intern, July – November 2016

Federico did his internship during his Master’s in Strategic Management. He had written his bachelor thesis on microfinance, and saw the internship with Momentum as an opportunity to experience how microfinance works in practice. After completing his Master’s, Federico returned to Kenya to work for a social enterprise focused on forestry conservation and rural livelihoods development. Currently, Federico is based in Bristol, UK, where he works for a global international development consultancy called Palladium. Here his work in centered on the Partnerships for Forests Programme, which aims at catalyzing investments in sustainable land and forest use.

The best thing about being a Momentum intern was the high level of autonomy and the opportunity to see first-hand the impact of the work I was doing. My internship actually led me to my second job in Kenya, which in turn led me to my current job, and to start building a career in environmental conservation.”
